Wool liners are an additional insert made from pure new wool.
They are very soft and fluffy, as well as dimensionally stable and made from local virgin wool.
You can use our wool liners in two different ways:
1. greased with lanolin
Here the wool liner is an additional moisture-repellent layer to protect your diaper or wool cover from excessive amounts of pee.
If your child pees a lot at once and you are out and about, for example in daycare, at night or simply the signals are not so good so that the insert is wet for a longer period of time, you can use the barrier diaper to protect it from getting too wet.
In this case, take out the wool liner and the wet inserts and put a fresh one and the dry inserts back into the holding diaper or wool cover.
The wool liner is washed out and freshly greased more quickly than a holding diaper or wool overpants. A quick and easy solution for more dryness underneath.
2. ungreased and washed
In this variant, the wool liner is the top layer over the absorbent material,
Here it still gives your child wetness feedback but passes the liquid on to the absorbent pad underneath. The woolen surface does not feel as wet as the absorbent pads and sensitive babies in particular are less prone to reddened skin.
Here, too, this variant makes sense if the insoles cannot (or cannot) be changed so quickly or are simply wet without being noticed for a long time. It can also be a good option at night if you change with wool covers and don't mind keeping the baby's skin drier with the wool liner.
